Bonding a dragon is an optional feature of LoF. It used to be a common occurrence, however bonding levels have sharply fallen of recent. However, for those that still choose to bond, Picking an element is essential, though due to interbreeding of the races, physical features have become far more vague than they once were, though obvious features of the element still remain. These are posted below
{ ... Ageing ... }
Dragons age in seasons, you are required to follow these guidelines AT LEAST loosely when you bond your dragon, the stages of growth are as follows, accompanied by how many seasons they much stay that age.
Hatchling - (1 season) at hatching. Your dragon is hungry, small and vulnerable, better protect them!
Dragonet- (1 season) your dragon is starting to grow and hunt for itself. It can also begin to learn to fly.
Youth- (2 seasons) your dragon has reached 1/3 of it’s final size, it can fly well now, and learn how to fight and breathe fire.
Young adult-(2 seasons) your dragon is now 2/3 of it’s final size, it can now breathe fire, fly, fight and use magic efficiently, just needs a bit more bulk!
Fully grown- from here on out your dragon can age as you see fit, it’s reached it’s full size.

... Element Descriptions ...
}
.Fire.
- Fire dragons are the largest of the elements, and usually the strongest.
- their bodies usually resemble western dragons, with a wingspan roughly twice their body length.
- Although personalities vary, Fire dragons are the most aggressive species
- colours also vary, but tend to be darker, most commonly red and black.
- For obvious reasons, fire dragons have the best fire breathing abilities.
- Fire dragons are most commonly in the LARGE size scale, and are most likely to be XLARGE.
- Due to their size, fire dragons are rarely agile or fast.
- Fire dragons usually have more spines/horns than the other elements..
- Fire dragons are usually the only dragons that can be ‘wyverns‘(no front legs)
.Air.
- Air dragons are usually kind natured and are known for their intellect.
- air dragons bodies resemble eastern dragons, long and serpentine.
- their bodies are usually covered in fur and they have more animal-like features then their relatives, though variations have been seen.
- Air dragons usually have no wings, but can fly with grace and ease and are extremely agile in the air.
- the air dragons ability to breath fire is about average, no where near rivalling the fire dragon
- they are most commonly MEDIUM height
- the fur, usually light shades, is not flamable
.Water.
- Water dragons are the smallest breed and are credited for their appearance, usually dainty and pretty.
- they are most commonly SMALL, and are most likely to be XSMALL
- Water dragons can both fly and breath fire, though neither to any great extent
- They are the only breed fully at home in the water, with the ability to swim properly, unlike other dragons.
- Water dragons have the ability to breathe underwater, a skill that is passed on to their bonded as hatching.
- The fangs of the water dragon are hollow, and filled with a potent venom. This has strong effects on both humans and dragons, causing disorientation and blackouts initially and if left untreated the poison continues to act and can result in death. It acts extremely fast on un-bondeds.
- Water dragons are usually friendly and playful
.Earth.
- Earth dragons vary greatly in size and colour.
- They have an extremely thick hide, meaning their defence is far higher than most dragons
- Earth dragons don’t often have full wings, and sometimes no wings at all, due to their heavy-type structure they often can't fly, or fly poorly.
- regardless of this, earth dragons are extremely fast on the ground, where most dragons would be faster flying, their hind leg muscles are extremely strong
- Earth dragons are usually the only element that can have raptor based cragons (stand on hindlegs, with smaller forearms, like raptors)
- Their fire breathing abilities are about average.
- Earth dragons are prone to mutations and extra abilitys
.Ice.
- Ice dragons are rarer as they were only re-introduced a short while ago.
- They are usualy proud and stubborn, and insist on an impressive, talented or unique Bonded.
- The ice dragon is known for being the most beautiful physically. Their hide is most impressive, each scale has a pearlescent, crystal like sheen to it. The wing membrane it usually translucent, but hold the same light reflecting properties as the rest of their body. These wings often create a prism like effect when reflecting light.
- Ice dragons are not know for their fighting abilities, however they are usually large, rivalling fire dragons, but at the same time extremely agile in the air. .
- They are usually LARGE in size
- though graceful, ice dragons can rarely breathe fire, though their talons are hard as diamond.
- Ice dragons have a unique ability that allows them to freeze things with an icy breath formed within their chest.
.Neutral.
- Neutral dragons vary in size, colour, shape and abilitys.
